Fall Break and Celebrate Autumn Collection!!

Hello everyone!!

Have you seen the latest collection from Carta Bella- Echo Park??? Just OMG. I fell in love from the first moment and good news is that a part of these products can now be purchased here in Sweden. Much easier and products come to the address for just two days. But of course you always have a variant to order directly from their site. They have a lot more products that perfectly coordinate together. Please go check it out!!

I just love Fall colors and of course I ordered new Fall Break and Celebrate Autumn colection. Beautiful.  I could not stop playing. So let’s look at the results ….

fall3.png

For my first card I die cut background panel from Carta Bella Fall Brak 6×6 paper pad with Blueprints 27. So beautiful papers in this pad believe me. The front paper is die cut with Wonky Stitched Rectangle Stax Die-namics. On that panel I just added Fall Break Chipboards. So many amazing chipboards in one pack. And on the end for the finished touch I decided to use some burlap and Nuvo Crystal Drops Gloss Buttermilk.

fall4.png

For the second card I also used the same Fall break paper pad and chipboards. For my backgorund panels I used A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set1 in two different sizes. For my “door” I used Blueprints 29. And I just attached on te front of the door autumn wreath and adorable pumpkin from Fall Break Chipboards collection.

fall1.png

For the third card I used polka dot paper from Fall Break paper pad cut off to 15×15 cm size. On the bottom I added one strip with beautiful image from the same paper pack. The rest of the images are actually stickers from Echo Park Celebrate Autumn Collection. As I said , everything in this Autumn collection perfectly coordinate together. Look at those trucks with pumpkins.. Love love love it.

And on the end I want I to tell you Carta Bella -Echo Park have Design Team Call. I’ll send the application. Wish me luck!!

Until next time!

MFT Card Design Superstar Innovation Master

Hello again!!

It is time to publish my last project for My Favorite Things Card Design Superstar but this time is for Innovation Master Category.

https://www.mftstamps.com/blog/2018-card-design-superstar/

Print

I love interactive Projects but this time I had a wonderful idea but realizing that idea was really very difficult. At the very beginning I decided to use The Greatest Show stamps set but I wanted to have a circus tent in the appropriate size.  How to do it was an issue that troubled me for days. But let’s look at what I created for today

interactive project.png

All images I stamped with Extreme Black Hybrid ink, colored with Copic Markers and die cut with matching dies. I used several MFT Stamps set: The Greatest Show, In Paris, Best In The West, Town Bear, Playful Peacock, Happy Pawlidays  and Sweet Succulents.

First I created Background 15×15 cm from Sno Cone cardstock. On this panel I created tent with Fringed Scallop Borders Die-namics from Kraft Collection Solid Stripes paper. The entrance to the tent I made with Oval Shaker Window and Frame Die-namics. I also attached some lights from Happy Pawlidays stamps set and air balloon from In Paris stamps set. Clouds are from Cloud 9 Die-namics.

interactive project 1.png

After that I made box 15×15 cm from Kraft cardstock. On the top of the box with Double Slider Loop Slots and Surf and Turf Die-namics I made two slider mechanism for my critters. These slider parts are  hidden in the box. To add my critters on slider part I just use piece of cardstock and some Scor tape. I also die cut same images from white cardstock and attached on the back to get better stability and looks nicer when you can not seen coloring on the back of the images!

interactive project 2.png

I attached my images on the box with piece of  Kraft cardstock too. I added Street Lights made with Street Ligths die-namics. I also die cut grass with Grassy Edges Die-namcis and stamped sentiment with Green Eyed Monster Premium Dye ink. Before I attached my images I made some highlights with Uni Ball gel pen.

For slider tabs I used Blueprints 29 die-namcis and Interactive Labels Stamps set and Stamped  word Pull with Extreme Black ink.

interactive card.png

I also made video because you can see better this interactive card in action. I hope you like it! If you have some question… I’m happy to try to answer.

Wish me luck!!!!!

Until next time!

As in previous years, I will be happy to participate this year too. To remind you.. I was Card Design Superstar 2016. Let’s start with the first card for this challenge. OH yes, there is three category: Clean & Simple Genius, Coloring Virtuoso and Innovation Master.

My first card is for the first category “Clean & Simple Genius”. The other two will be publish soon.

This time I tried to make flowers from the cacti and I think I succeeded. One of the main features of the cas card is a lot of white space. But you can also use kraft cardstock like me! I used kraft cardstock because I wanted to color with my new aquarel pencils.

mft superstar.png

First I die cut my panel With A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 1 from MFT Kraft Cardstock. After that I used Embossing pad with  Stitched Oval Scallop Edges Frame and Embossed in my sizzix big shot. Next Step was to add some splotches with Copic Opaque White on the whole surface.

mft CAS superstar.png

I stamped images from the Sweet Succulents stamps set, colored and die cut with matching dies. For the stems I used one of the dies from Bundle of Baby Clothes and for the foliage I used Fabulous Foliage die-namics.

I stampes sentiments from Essential Sentiments ss with VersaMark ink and embossed with Detail White Embossing Powder. After that I die cut my sentiment with sentiment strip from Blueprints 31. On the end I added some details on my coloring with Uniball White gel pen.

Words 2 Craft By “Fall” Challenge!!

Hello everyone!!

I am here again after a long break. I have to admit that I’m enjoying creating again. I missed my toys, my markers, inks, stamps, dies…  So let’s go…

Todays card I made for Words 2 Craft By challenge. New challenge starts today and  this month’s words come to us from F. Scott Fitzgerald:

“Life starts all over again when it get crisp in the fall.”

https://words2craftby.blogspot.com/

And this is my card inspired by these words..

w2cb.png

For this card I used some products I did not use for a long time. So I combined Paper Smooches, Lawn Fawn, My Favorite Things and Wild Orchid Crafts flowers.

First I die cut a bunch of leaves with Paper Smooches Leaves 1 die from the Perfectly Plaid paper pack by Lawn Fawn. The same paper I used for my background wich I die cut with MFT A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax Set 1 Die-namics. I also die cut one lager panel from the Kraft cardstock also from MFT.

For my Notebook I used Paper Smooches Notebook Scallop Die and I die cut first from kraft paper and second one from patterned  paper. I added my leaves on circle shape and dekorated with flowers from Orchid Crafts. For my Fall sentiment I used Sizzix Delicate Letters dies. I also added a wooden clothespin for decoration.

Bookmark -Lookin’ Sharp!

Hello everyone again!!

A trip to the homeland came closer. From tomorrow I am on a one-month break in all my card-making activities. I’m sure, I will not have to much free time, but I want to be sure that I have something at hand if I catch time. And yes travel by plane takes about three hours. What I can do during that time??????

The answer is simple….Cross stitching!!!!!!!

I die cut latest cross-stitch bookmarks from MFT,  I also prepared threads in various colors and ready to go!!

But before I go, I have another project to share with you… Yes, you guessed correctly…Cross-stitch project!

Lookin' Sharp.jpg

For this project I used Cross-Stitch Printables From MFT Blog. This background perfectly matches with new Saddle Up And Celebrate stamps set.

I stamped images from the set with Copic friendly black ink and colored with my Copic Markers. After that I used matching dies to die cut them out. Look at those flowers .. They look the same…

Until next time.. Happy crafting!!

Under the Sea Light-Shadow-Box!

Hello everyone!!

I am here again. Yesterday I presented two CAS cards and today is the time to introduce you something a bit more complicated. It is Under the Sea Light-Shadow-Box.

For this project I used many products from MFT so take a look at the supply list down at the bottom of this post!

shadow box

First I cut two pieces of white cardstock 19 x 17 cm. I scored on long side 2 cm on both sides. So I had two panels, each has two flaps. These flaps  give your shadow-box depth and actually help you to connect panels.

Next step was to apply Chipped Saphire, Mermaid Lagoon and Faded Jeans distress inks on both panels. After that I used Make Waves stancil and applied MFT Sweet Tooth pigment ink on whole surface. On one of the panels I die cut the window with A2 Stitched Rectangle Stax set 1 and added acetate on the back of the panel.

Now is the time to create a scene. the idea was to have an underwater castle, so I used Castle die-namics and Kraft cardstock and die cut pieces. I also apply dots with my Copic markers on every piece to get sandy look. The same technique I used for the bottom of the see and I die cut with Surf and Turf Die-namics.

shadow box 2

I stamped all images with MFT Extreme Black ink on Neenah Soler White cardstock and colored with my Copic Markers. (Seaweeds are stamped with Limelight and Field Day Premium dye inks). All stamps sets and coordinating dies you can find in supply list down below. Small fish I stamped on the panels with black ink and added some details with white gel pen too.

After that I created the scene. Some of the images I added directly to the background, for some I used foam tape. Some of them is glued on the inside some of them outside of the box. On this way I get depth and a little more realistic look.

For a little more interesting look , I added removable small lights inside. It is difficult to show in the picture but it looks very nice when the lights are off in the room. Just like a small aquarium.

I hope you like it

My Favorite Things Guest Designer Part 3!

Hello MFT fans!

I am here again with three latest projects. Like I already said, July release is full of amazing new products and it was extremely hard to pick out ones that I would use to create projects for guest design spot! I tried to think of something new, to figure out unique and interesting ideas to feature and show off newest products. So for today I have couple of ideas, so lets go!

For the first project I decided to use Mini Balloon Shaker Window and Frame die-namcis together with Mini Balloon Shaker Pouch in a little bit of different way than we usually use shaker pouches.

No15

Trick is that shaker pouch is just a little bit larger than frame, so you just have to trim it down to the size with your scissors. For glue use something you know is strong – I use Scor-tape. Than fill your shaker with favorite shaker material ( this time I used Diamond Dust and Lipgloss Microbeads) and back it up with a piece
of acetate that you cut down to fit your frame.

For the  second part of the card ink on a white cardstock using blending tool from top to bottom – Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Candid Apple, Fosilized Amber and
Twisted Citron oxide inks and than cut it out with Happy Birthday Block die-namics.
Negative die cut I used as a guide to position correctly all of the letters on a white background and after that I added my stand alone shaker balloon on top.

Second card offers a different idea on using Happy Birthday Ballon Trio die-namics.

No23

For the start I die cut 13 balloons as there is that much letters in ‘Happy Birthday’. Than I inked every baloon in different shade of ink – like rainbow colors. Than I glued letters on each of the balloon (by the way, when you cut out so much balloons
you will get a ton of letters that you can use in future projects). After all that I glued balloons on a background panel in different way – some I glued directly on a background an on some I used foam tape to add some dimension. In addition to the sentiment this time I used new Sassy Pants Birthday Greetings Stamp Set and super
funny sentiment which I stamped  with VersaMark clear ink and embosed it with White Detail embossing powder.

For my last card I decided to use PI Girl Birthday Cutie together with leftovers letters from the previous card.

No14

For the background I used Smooshing technique with Wilted Violet and Cracked Pistachio Oxide inks and Die cut with Blueprints 27.
I stamped image with MFT Extreme Black ink and colored her with Copic Markers. After I die cut her with matching die.
Sentiment comes from the same set and I stamped with Wilted Violet oxide ink using my Misti. I also added some detail on my coloring with Uni-Ball White Gel Pen.

Once again, I want to thank MFT on this opportunity!
It was a great pleasure to be here this month.
Until next time I wish you all lots of inspiration an amazing cards!

Kristina
