My Favorite Things- Guest Designer – Day 1

Good Morning!

Kristina Pavlovic here, and I am extremely thrilled to be a guest today and tomorrow on the MFT stamps blog. I’ve been a fan of My Favorite Things for quite some time and I often use MFT products on my cards.
You can imagine my excitement and honour to see my name amongst these extremely talented designers.

Today I’m sharing 3 different cards with you which feature gorgeous (mostly) new products, and some of the MFT older releases.

Abstract Heart Shaker card

My first card as a guest designer here on MFT is a shaker card.

For the front pink panel I used patterned paper from the Sweet Celebration paper pack. I have cut it to size and than with new Abstract Heart die-namics and my Sizzix big shot machine I cut out the shaker window. Than, with the same die, I have cut out the heart from the white cardstock.

On the back of the panel I glued some acetate with score tape, and raised up the whole pannel with foam mounting tape. I filled my shaker window with different colored sequens from Princess sequin kit and put everything on the base of the card made out of white cardstock.
I have glued the abstrackt die-cut heart with my multi medium matte on the front of the shaker window, right in the opening.

And to finish it off, I used Sending hugs die-namics and white cardstock  to make my sentiment – Sending Hugs.

 Flop Card-Heart

Second card for today is a Flop card, even I decided to make it just a little bit different.

On the base of the card I glues patterned paper from Rainbow Stripes paper pack.Than I used The Flop Card Die-Namics and with my manual die cutting machine I have cut out the panel.

On the front side I also added the stitched hearth and stamped my sentiment with some red ink. On some white cardstock I stamped little images form Otterly Love You stamp set, colored them with alcohol markers and than cut them out with coordinating dies,so I can adhere them on the front panel with some foam tape, just to get some dimensions.
For the rest of the story, you need to “dive in” the card.

The waves are also from the Otterly Love you coordinating dies.I have inked them with my distress inks and ink blending tool, and then randomly sprayed with water. Then, with the small brush I spolached the same color above the waves so I can get the look of the water drops.
After all that, I added the otter who jumps out of the water!
It’s a very happy otter right now and it shows us just how much it enjoys those love words form the front panel!
For the background I have cut out couple of clouds with Sweet Sloths coordinating dies. The little red hearth is a new die from Stitched Heart Grid die-namics. The little hearth and all of the images on the inside I have colored with my alcohol markers.

You’re The Sugar In My Coffee!
Kitchy Kitchen stamps set and You Beke Me Happy stamps set are incredible sets that coordinate so good together! I just could not resist to the idea to make a little kitchen scene!
I have started out with a piece of aquarelle paper, and inked the whole paper with distress inks and mini ink blending tool. Table and the shelf, as well as all the rest of the shapes are cut out with Kitchy Kitchen coordinating dies and than colored with alcohol based markers.

I have put some tablecloth on the table, which I made with Stitched Basic Edges 2, Stitched Scallop Basic Edges 2 dies and patterned paper from Sweet Celebration paper pack.
All of the elements on the card I have stamped with MFT Premium Dye ink Tropical Teal and colored them with alcohol markers.

Little “sugar” label, steering and whisking tools are stamped with Versamark ink and then embossed with Silver Detail Embossing Powder.
To tie everything together I mixed words from the Kitchy Kitchen and You Bake Me Happy stamp sets to create unique sentiment and I stamped it with black ink.
To create a dimension on this scene, some of the elements on the card I glued with Score Tape and on some I used Foam Mounting tape.

I hope you’ve enjoyed these projects and have been inspired to create your own cards using the same products.
Thanks for stopping by! And HUGE THANKS to the awesome people over at MFT for letting me take over today!
Have a fabulous day!
